What is SoundArt Technology Lab?
SoundArt Technology Lab is a full-service music production computer classroom specializing in beat-making lessons, music industry workshops & an environment where aspiring music producer’s computer programming skills can flourish.
 
Founded by award-winning producer & recording artist K-Drama, his achievements include but are not limited to charting various times on Billboard, an array of sync placements ranging from the silver screen to cable television & producing on a Grammy-nominated album. Starting 26 years ago as a hobby in High School, it was through the help of an established music producer who helped him learn the tools of the trade responsible for his creative accomplishments. This is the bedrock Regis Jones aspires to pay it forward through SATL.

1. What software & equipment do I need for the online beat-making class?
You will need a Windows/Mac computer installed with Zoom & the free version of Pro Tools (Pro Tools Intro). You will also need a MIDI controller & a pair of monitors or headphones.
 
2. What MIDI controller do you recommend?
A few controllers we recommend are the Nectar SE25, the Arturia MiniLab MKll or the Akai MPK Mini MK3 . As long as your keyboard triggers sound in Pro Tools then you are good to go!
3. Do I need my own equipment if I take in-person classes?
No. Computer, software & equipment are all provided for you at SoundArt Technology Lab for in-person classes.
